Parenting is HARD! We all know that by now, and it is important to keep getting support, working on improving ourselves, and learning new techniques to improve our communication and relationships with our children. 

P.E.T is one of the most researched based, well thought out and practical framework by American Psychologist Thomas Gordon, teaching parents practical and hands-on techniques to be used immediately to build strong bonds and healthy relationships with your children, which is essential as they get older and older.

Teacher Bio: Catherine Khang Banson, Brown University Class of 1992, is a certified instructor of Parent Effectiveness Training (P.E.T) and Youth Effectiveness Training (Y.E.T). Catherine is mother to three teens. She has taught over 20 P.E.T courses and runs 3 Y.E.T courses with students from CIS, GSIS, HKIS and CDNIS. You can read more about her and what parents say about this course:

Workshop Dates: 

  • Workshop Date: 2018 Feb 8

  • Spring Dates: 12-2 pm on Mondays (March 5, 12, 19, 26; April 9, 16, 23, 30; May 7, 14, 21, 28 and June 4). Working parents - this is for you if you can take a long lunch break.

  • Fall Dates: One Wednesday and twelve Thursdays from 12-2 on the following dates (Aug 29, Aug 30, Sep 6, Sep 13, Sep 20, Sep 27, Oct 4, Oct 11, Oct 25, Nov 1, Nov 8, Nov 15, Nov 22)
