Xia Lao Shi - Playgroup Specialist

  • National Putonghua Proficiency - Level 1 A (國家普通話一級證書)
  • Primary school & Preschool teachers for 10 years (Hong Kong)
I started teaching in 2001 and it has been a privilege to work alongside some great educators. I learned a great deal from them, and I really enjoyed learning through various creative teaching projects to teach children singing, arts and story telling. Throughout my teaching career, I found the most important way to bond with children is to be caring and sensitive to their needs. When we are kind and loving to our children, they open their hearts to us and we will enjoy our learning journey together.
I strongly believe in the benefits of learning through play, and in the importance of helping our children to experience joy and satisfaction in learning. I look forward to working with our parents to teach our children how to persevere and face difficulties in life, to cultivate our children's curiosity, to help them have an amazing childhood and discover their passion and happiness in life.

I am also delighted to see the smiles on our parents' faces when they see their children taking a small step in this magical world. I love designing creative props for our story telling section, game boards for our children to get excited about, and making sensory play tools for the little ones. I am honored that I am part of your child's early learning development and excited about our learning journey together.

Zhu Lao Shi - Playgroup Specialist

  • Master of Arts in Chinese Literature, language & Culture at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU)
  • National Putonghua Proficiency - Level 2B (國家普通話二級證書)
A teacher is one who can propagate the doctrine, impart professional knowledge and resolve doubts. When I was a child, I always thought it would be very meaningful to be a teacher. I pursued my childhood dream and now I love teaching every day.
I believe today's globalization involves a mix of cultures, and teachers have the responsibility to promote cultural exchange, and teach our children about our world, our different countries and cultures.
I enjoy playing and learning with children, and I think that our fun and interactive teaching approach is an effective means of cultural dissemination. I always feel happy when children are able to talk to me in Mandarin, especially when they make progress. I am super proud of them.
